Just as the A.M.E. Church records its structure and governance in the The Doctrine and Discipline of the African Methodist Episcopal Church (2016), the Lay Organization records its regulations in its Constitution and Bylaws, which are examined and potentially amended every two years at the Connectional Lay Organization Biennial Meeting.
